About the quiz
This year’s Christmas Puzzle is split into three parts, each building on the theme of pantomimes and holiday fun. As in previous years, the clues will provide you with letters to fit into the answer boxes. General knowledge, a mildly cryptic approach and a good dictionary should provide most of the answers…
We’re off to the Pantomime! What will you find?
First, 13 “A” clues of a general kind;
The answers each lead you to something you know
Or think about when at a holiday show.
Next eight Panto titles, alone or in pairs
(Like Goldilocks followed – of course – by Three Bears).
But so you can find them (it’s tricky you see)
Each of these answers is marked with a “B”.
Then seven more pantos, each given a cast
Of people and objects from first down to last.
To aid you a little and help you do better
Each panto’s been given its own coded letter;
Solving “D” anagrams, puzzles and puns’ll
Lead you (perhaps?) to the panto Rapunzel …
That’s just an example! I’m sure it won’t trouble you:
The Pantos are coded from “P” down to “W”.
When you have worked out as many clues as you can, or if you would like to be sent the solutions after the closing date, send your answers by email to: AbdemonPuzzles@gmail.com
Closing date: 10 January 2025
The winner will be chosen by Will at random from the entrants with the most correct answers. There may be a prize in store!
