May 9, 2022Meet our new Trustees
We’re delighted to welcome five new trustees to the Artichoke board
Laia Gasch, Tony Heaton, Desirée Clarke Noble, Shirley Rodrigues and Nephertiti Schandorf have joined our board.
With extensive expertise and varied experience spanning the creative industries, marketing and public service, they were selected following an open recruitment process. All five appointees started their term as Trustees in April 2022 for an initial three-year period. They are joining at an exciting time in Artichoke’s history, as the range and remit of our projects continues to grow, with two further national projects planned in 2022. We are also applying to continue as part of the Arts Council NPO in 2023-26.
The new appointees will join our current Trustees: Dalwardin Babu, Jan Boud, Allan Cook, Stephanie Flanders (Chair), Ruth Hogarth, Richard Kitson OBE, Helen Marriage MBE and David Micklem.
Helen Marriage, CEO / Artistic Director of Artichoke says:
“I am thrilled to welcome such a talented group of individuals to our Board of Trustees. Between them they bring a breadth of experience and knowledge that will be incredibly valuable for Artichoke as we continue to develop and grow into our third decade. I also want to thank everyone who applied to be a Trustee. We had an amazing response from so many accomplished individuals, and the widespread interest in the role was an extraordinary endorsement of the esteem in which Artichoke is held.”
