Ahead of the holidays, our Learning & Participation team have put together a free activity pack featuring various creative tasks inspired by Babylon Gamelan

Babylon Gamelan was a vibrant fusion of sonic art and engineering, which took place this September as part of Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council’s Creative Explorers programme.

Created by Rag & Bone artist Dave Young, with Spencer Jenkins and Julia Snowdin, the mechanical sound sculptures and noise-making machines were designed for hands-on exploration, encouraging audiences to pull, push, strum, and drum their way through Miners’ Welfare Park.

The team has created this fun-filled activity pack, based on the Babylon Gamelan experience. Although the pack has been designed for primary-aged children, its creative activities can be enjoyed by everyone!

The perfect way to entertain children on rainy afternoons, during the festive season and beyond.

The pack includes:

  • The Babylon Gamelan Colouring Page
  • Wordsearch & Crossword
  • Design Your Own Babylon Gamelan
  • DIY Rainmaker Instructions

This activity pack involves little preparation, features a variety of creative tasks and includes step-by-step instructions.
